A section of Interstate 81 closed down in central Pennsylvania due to "loose cows on the roadway," Pennsylvania state police—or should we say state cowboys— said on Tuesday.

Three "loose cows" fell off a tractor-trailer and halted traffic near mile marker 50 in Cumberland County around 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 22, according to a series of tweets by Trooper Megan Ammerman.

Luckily the cows got moo-ving quickly and 15 minutes later all but one cow had exited the roadway, according to Ammerman.

The road reopened at 3 p.m., but traffic remained slow in the area for about 30 minutes, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation cameras in the vicinity.

A camera did catch some of the cows, as seen in the Facebook post below:

Thankfully drivers stayed calmed and no one had a cow or an accident.

As one commenter put it "Hmmm you know it’s rural."

Another tweeter commented "Great job Troopers or should I say Cowboys!!  Great job🚔🚔"

Some cows did suffer minor injuries, Ammerman said.
